Kids Days Out - things to do in Chester
days out in Cheshire , days out Merseyside , days out Staffordshire

About Chester - Chester has the reputation of being the "English medieval city par excellence", although many of its buildings are from the Victorian era. It has the most complete city walls in Britain, and most sections of the walls are Grade I listed. In 2007 Chester Council announced a 10-year plan to see Chester become a "must see European destination".
Shopping - Chester was recently ranked best city in England to visit and tenth most profitable in a survey of English towns and cities. It offers an impressive international commercial centre, comprising high street favourites. It has unique character in its two-tiered gallery of shops called "The Rows", traditional black and white buildings have been restored.and re-developed to provide easy access to Chester's main shopping streets.
Things to do and Tourist Information - With many of the Chester attractions just a short stroll away, the city is packed out with things to do and see - probably one of the most impressive sights being the Rows, two-tier shopping galleries which date from the Middle Ages. There are many other fine buildings, including the Cathedral, Amphitheatre and the second most photographed clock in Britain after Big Ben - The Eastgate Clock.
