Kids Days Out In Cambridge

About Cambridge - Cambridge is one of the busiest tourist spots in England with over three million visitors a year, also famously home to one of the world's most prestigious universities, which is itself a source of much of that tourism. The city is a magnet to anyone with an interest in British history, this, coupled with the traditional sights of punts, May Balls and cyclists, helps to create a romantic image of Cambridge that is known the world over.

Shopping - Cambridge is a shopper's paradise, with a huge array of independent shops and boutiques side by side with all the high street favourites that you would expect. There are two brand new shopping centres to explore Grand Arcade being the newest, which is stuffed full of designer goodies, as well as the traditional bustling stalls of the outdoor markets.

Things to do and Tourist Information - For a relatively small city, Cambridge is rich in museums, ancient churches and historical tradition. Visit the Fitzwilliam Museum, with its outstanding picture collection, or the Round Church, one of only 4 round churches in Britain. And the University College Gardens are one of the great secret delights of the city – Clare’s, Emmanuel’s and Newnham’s are particularly spectacular.
