About Skegness - Skegness is perhaps best known as the location of the first Butlins holiday resort, built in 1936, which remains within the area to this day, and in this capacity, remains one of the most famous seaside resorts in the United Kingdom. In March 2005, Skegness took the top spot in a survey by Yours magazine, looking at the best retirement places in the UK.

Shopping - The Hildreds Shopping Centre is "The Heart of Shopping in Skegness" The Centre also has an integral car park with easy parking for over three hundred and fifty cars. Throughout the main holiday season
the Centre is a hive of activity whilst during the Christmas period the whole Centre becomes a magical shopping experience when it is transferred into a fantasy Christmas wonderland.

Things to do - Among the tourist attractions in Skegness is the Pier. In the summer the pier has a number of seaside attractions such as bungee trampoline, a big slide, hook-a-duck and more. Skegness Water Leisure Park is near the golden beaches of the town and one can indulge in a number of activities here such as fishing in the lake, the Lincolnshire Coast Light Railway, the Barn Inn, Cable Tow water skiing and more.
