Family fun at the River & Rowing Museum, Henley on Thames

The River & Rowing Museum welcomes families and there are lots of fun things to see and do!

Explore the galleries with our free backpacks, get creative with our activity trolley full of free colouring, crafts and Museum trails for all ages.  Children can enjoy dressing up in replica regatta costume or having a go at rowing on our Row Together interactive exhibit.  Activities are regularly updated so there is always something new to do!

The Museum has a constantly changing calendar of special exhibitions and children’s events!


Taylor Tug’s Under 5′s Club runs on Wednesday morning, with our new Taylor Tug Taster drop-in sessions taking place in the afternoon during term time. We also run Artways Art Club for 7-11 year olds and 11-15 year olds on Saturdays during term time.

Our family days are very popular and free with museum admission. Alongside our programme of bookable children’s workshops we have lots too offer for children and families during the holidays.

The Museum has baby changing facilities.  There are a range of children’s options in
the café, including Wind in the Willows lunchboxes, and highchairs are available.
