Angus is Dundee plus a lot of quiet countryside, and between them they cover most of what a family needs from a day out without much driving.
We list 17 attractions in the area. Monikie Country Park is the free one with the water sports alongside it, Camperdown Wildlife Centre in Dundee is the animal day, and Peel Farm near Kirriemuir has the nature trail and the tea room.
Dundee is easy by train and the waterfront museums are a short walk from the station. The rest of Angus needs a car.
