Kids Days Out In New Forest
The New Forest is one of the great free days out in southern England: open heath, ponies on the road and hundreds of miles of gravel tracks that suit small bikes perfectly.
We list 13 attractions across the forest. Moors Valley Country Park has the play trail, the narrow gauge railway and the go ape, Longdown Activity Farm is the hands on one for younger children, and Avon Tyrrell runs the outdoor adventure days.
Parking is pay and display at most forest car parks. Brockenhurst and Ashurst are on the rail line and you can hire bikes at both.
