Kids Days Out In Cumbria
Cumbria is the Lake District for most visitors, and the honest advice is that the lakes and fells are the day out. The paid attractions are the backup for when the weather closes in, which in Cumbria is worth planning for.
We list 10 attractions across the county, which is one of our thinnest lists and one we are actively building. Lakeland Wildlife Oasis at Hale and Tullie House in Carlisle are the two that hold up in the rain.
Parking at the popular lakes fills by mid-morning in summer. The park and ride at Bowness and the launches across Windermere are usually less stressful than driving round the shore.
