Kids Days Out In Exmoor

Exmoor is smaller and gentler than Dartmoor and gets a fraction of the visitors, which is much of its appeal. The coast at the northern edge gives you cliffs and beaches within a short drive of the moor.

We list 11 attractions across the area. Exmoor Zoo is a small zoo built around smaller animals and is all the better for it with young children, Wimbleball Lake has the watersports and the walks, and Ilfracombe covers the seaside day.

A car is needed for the moor. The coast road between Lynton and Porlock is spectacular and slow, so allow time.
