Kids Days Out In Bristol and things to do with the children
Bristol is a good city for children because so much of it is outdoors and free. The harbour, the Downs and Portishead Open Air Pool in summer cover a lot of ground before you have paid for anything.
We list 42 attractions in and around the city, 9 of them free. Bristol Aquarium and the Packet Boat Trips on the harbour are the reliable paid ones, and the boat is the better of the two on a fine day.
Parking in the centre is expensive and the hills are real, so the harbour ferry is worth the fare with tired legs in tow.
