Walworth Castle Birds of Prey, near Darlington

Come Fly With Us

Walworth Castle Birds of Prey is located in the stunning grounds of Walworth Castle on the outskirts of Darlington. The centre has a range of birds including owls, hawks and falcons and is open to the public between Easter and October.

In addition to the daily displays at 1.30pm and 3.00pm (except Tuesday and Thursday) there are a range of falconry experiences available throughout the year. These include Owl Encounters, Hawk Walks, Falconry Mornings, Falconry Days, Photography Mornings and Hunting Days.

Birthday Parties, School Visits, Corporate Days and the delivery of Wedding rings can also be provided both at the centre and other locations. We also hold a number of special events during the year, such as Easter Egg Hunt, Santa's Grotto, Halloween and Wild life Warrior Wednesdays during most school holidays. The latter events include the making of nest boxes, bird feeders and lady bird houses for example. We also have a nature trail in the woods next to the centre.
