West Yorkshire

West Yorkshire packs Leeds, Bradford, Halifax, Huddersfield and Wakefield into a small area with good trains between them, which makes a day out here easy to plan and cheap to reach.

We list 39 attractions across the county. The national museums in Bradford and Leeds are free, the heritage railways run through the valleys, and there is a deep bench of soft play, climbing and swimming for the wet days.

The Metro rail and bus network covers nearly all of this. Leeds station is twenty minutes from most of the county.
