Kids Days Out In Perthshire

Perthshire is the bit of Scotland that people drive through on the way north and then wish they had stopped in. The forests, the lochs and the hills are all here, and so are a couple of properly good small attractions.

We list 21 attractions across the county. The Scottish Crannog Centre on Loch Tay reconstructs an iron age loch dwelling and lets children have a go at the crafts, the Beatrix Potter Garden at Birnam is free, and Dewar's Centre in Perth has the ice rink and the curling.

Perth is on the main line and makes a sensible base. For Loch Tay and Highland Perthshire you will want the car.
