Head for Box Hill, Leith Hill and Ranmoor Common for some lovely walks. Days out in the open air.

The Needles Old Battery is a spectacularly sited cliff-top fort overlooking the rocks. It has guns on the parade ground and lots of things to do.

Taste history in the beautiful village of Avebury set on the Wiltshire Downs!

The island’s only surviving windmill has most of its original machinery. Explore its four floors, see how it operated with our working model.

Ornamental gardens at Berrington Hall (National Trust) which offers a great day out, a historic house and attraction for children.
