Kids Days Out In Colchester

Colchester is Britain's oldest recorded town and has more than enough for a family day. Colchester Castle is built on a Roman temple and its museum is properly hands on. High Woods Country Park gives woodland and meadow walking close to the centre, and The Sunflower Patch is a seasonal favourite in late summer. For active days, Rollerworld is a large roller rink and Urban Xtreme covers trampolining and climbing. Colchester Zoo, south of the town, is a full day in itself and among the better zoos in the east.
