Kids Days Out In Oxford

Oxford is compact and mostly walkable, which makes it manageable with children. The University Botanic Garden is the oldest in Britain and has glasshouses for a wet spell, and the Natural History Museum with its dinosaur skeletons and the Pitt Rivers next door are both free and reliably popular. Punting from Magdalen Bridge is the classic outing. Oxford Ice Rink and the Odeon cover indoor afternoons, and Cutteslowe Park north of the centre has play areas, a paddling pool in summer and a miniature railway.
