Kids Days Out In Stirling

Stirling packs a lot of history into a small area, and children tend to take to it because so much of it is castles and stories. Stirling Castle sits on its crag above the town and is the obvious starting point, while the Old Town Jail gives a livelier, more theatrical version of the same period. Loch Katrine, west of the town in the Trossachs, offers boat trips and lochside walking and paths that suit bikes and buggies. Between the town and the loch you can build a full day that mixes indoors and out.
