Kids Days Out In Holyhead
Holyhead sits at the western tip of Anglesey and is best known to families as the ferry port for Ireland, but it is worth a day in its own right. RSPB South Stack Cliffs, just outside the town, is the highlight for children: seabird colonies on sheer cliffs, a lighthouse across a footbridge and clear paths along the headland. Bring binoculars in spring and early summer when the ledges are busiest. Holyhead Mountain gives a short, rewarding climb with big views, and the town has beaches within a few minutes' drive for calmer afternoons.
