Kids Days Out In Barmouth
Barmouth sits where the Mawddach estuary meets the sea, and the setting is the attraction: a long sandy beach on one side and mountains rising behind. Barmouth Bridge carries the railway across the estuary and has a walkway alongside it, which makes for one of the most scenic short walks in Wales. The Mawddach Trail continues from the far side towards Dolgellau on a flat, traffic free path that suits bikes and buggies. The Panorama Walk above the town is a steeper option with a view worth the climb.
