Kids Days Out In Bourton on Water

Bourton on the Water is the most visited village in the Cotswolds, and the shallow River Windrush running through the green is the reason: children paddle in it all summer. Birdland Park and Gardens sits beside the river with penguins, flamingos and a Jurassic themed trail, and the Cotswold Motoring Museum and Toy Collection is small, characterful and good on a wet day. The model village is a longstanding curiosity. Arrive early in school holidays, because parking and the village both fill quickly by mid morning.
