Kids Days Out In Hampshire

Hampshire covers a lot of ground, from the New Forest ponies to the Portsmouth waterfront, and the two make very different days out. The Forest is the free one, assuming you can find a parking space in August.

We list 60 attractions across the county, 10 of them free to enter. The New Forest Wildlife Park and the Blue Reef Aquarium in Portsmouth are the reliable paid options, and there is riding, boat trips and indoor adventure play spread between Southampton, Winchester and Camberley.

Portsmouth and Southampton are both easy by train. For the New Forest you really do need the car.
