Kids Days Out In Blackpool

About Blackpool - Blackpool is a seaside town in north-western England and is probably the most famous seaside resort in Britain. It is believed to get its name from a long gone drainage channel which ran over a peat bog. The water which ran into the sea at Blackpool was black from the peat and formed a "black pool" in waters of the Irish Sea. (In Gaelic, Black Pool is Dubh Lihn, which in turn became Dublin.)

Shopping - Bring your biggest bags or buy them whlle you are here because in Blackpool shoppers are certainly spoilt for choice. All those major High Street names jostle for your attention alongside many more specialised outlets and markets aplenty. You can enjoy a traffic-free stroll along pedestrian precincts and do you shopping undercover in both the Hounds Hill Centre and the Tower Shopping Centre.

Things to do and Tourist Information - Blackpool is full of firsts: taller, faster rollercoasters, bigger clubs, even the biggest mirror ball in the world plus world-class shows, cosmopolitan restaurants, exciting nightlife, an great sports scene and wonderfully scenery right on the doorstep and of course last but not least the illuminations.
