Kids Days Out In Dumfries

Dumfries makes an easy family day out, and most of it can be done on foot. Dumfries Museum and Camera Obscura is the standout indoor option, with the camera obscura itself being the part children tend to remember. Dock Park and Castledykes Park and Gardens both sit close to the centre and give you green space, play equipment and river views without needing the car. Lochhill Farm, over towards Castle Douglas, is worth the short drive if your children want to be around animals. Between them these cover a wet morning and a dry afternoon.
