Kids Days Out In Skipton
Skipton calls itself the gateway to the Dales, and that is a fair description for a family day out. Raven Tree Top Adventure just outside the town puts high ropes and zip lines in woodland, which suits older children and teenagers. Thornton Hall Country Park is the better bet with younger ones, combining farm animals, indoor and outdoor play. Skipton Castle in the centre is unusually complete and easy to explore with children, and the canal towpath gives a flat, easy walk with boats to watch along the way.
