Kids Days Out In Yorkshire

Yorkshire is big enough that a day out in Leeds and a day out on the coast have almost nothing in common, which is rather the point. The Thackray Museum of Medicine and Kirkstall Abbey cover the city end, and Thorp Perrow near Bedale is the one for a dry day and a lot of running about.

Scarborough, Whitby and Filey are the seaside standbys. In summer, aim to arrive before ten or park well back from the front.
